Tim Bailey

VP of Mission Architecture

Tim brings one of the most extensive microgravity backgrounds in the industry to RGS, with more than 9,000 parabolas accumulated over more than 400 flights. He has spent over two decades shaping the operational, safety, and educational landscape of parabolic flight, including his long-standing role as Inflight Manager at Zero-G where he trained and managed cabin crew, coordinated safety procedures, and helped guide flight operations. Tim also served as Executive Director of the ZG4STEM Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring students to pursue STEM careers, and he has built space-related events around the world while covering major aerospace milestones such as space shuttle launches from Kennedy Space Center.

As Director of Mission Architecture at RGS, Tim leads the design, planning, and development of reduced-gravity test campaigns for clients ranging from early-stage startups to established aerospace programs. His background spans program management, safety oversight, STEM outreach, and mission coordination with organizations including NASA, DARPA, the US Marine Corps, and the US Department of Energy. Tim’s ability to translate complex goals into achievable flight plans makes him a trusted guide for teams navigating their first steps toward microgravity testing and TRL advancement. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and lives near Washington D.C. with his wife, a brilliant aerospace engineer, and their two adventurous kids.
